The new Dart and Avon Mission Community
This started officially on November 1st and was inaugurated at a service of Holy Communion on Sunday November 18th in St Petroc's Church, South Brent.
The service was followed by a bring-and-share lunch, with people from the different churches mingling together.

New Team Vicar announced
The Reverend Professor Gina Radford has been appointed to be Team Vicar in
the Dart and Avon Team Ministry, with special responsibility for the parishes of
South Brent and Rattery.
Gina is presently the Deputy Chief Medical Officer for England, based at the
Department of Health in London. Her specialism in the field of medicine has
been as a consultant and senior leader in public health. A churchwarden for
many years, Gina was licensed as a Reader in the Church of England in 2012
and ordained in 2016. Gina lives in Cambridgeshire and as a priest in full-time
secular employment currently serves as curate in the five rural parishes of the Anglesey Group near Newmarket. She looks forward to returning to Devon, having lived for a time in the parish of Rattery over twenty years ago.
Gina will retire from her national work and move to South Brent Vicarage next spring. She will serve the parishes of the Dart & Avon Team on a half-time basis. Subject to the completion of all legal formalities, she will be licensed by the Bishop of Exeter on the evening of Wednesday, June 12th at a service in St Petroc’s, South Brent at which all will be welcome.
