Church of St George the Martyr, Dean Prior
The Church of St George the Martyr is a delightful. 14th century church offering a rich heritage, a friendly welcome, and an atmosphere of warm fellowship, and quiet spiritual reflection.
The normal services are traditional, with Holy Communion from the Book of Common Prayer on most Sundays, but we enjoy a range of hymns, traditional and modern.
Dean Prior Church has its own website, with details of services, the history of the parish, links with Robert Herrick, information about coming events, etc. Please click here to access the St George's site.
The church is open for private prayer on Wednesdays from 10am to 3pm
There is also normally a monthly service in church -
the date of the next one is still to be fixed as we wait to see how the pandemic develops
However, in the Coronavirus outbreak services in church are suspended, though we hope we may soon be able to hold one once a month.
